Toshio Kotegawa (古手川(こてがわ) 登志夫(としお), Kotegawa Toshio^? ) is a minor character of the manga series Grand Blue. He is the owner of a diving shop, Grand Blue.

Appearance

Toshio is roughly the same height as Iori. He and Kotobuki share a similar build, although he doesn't seem to be quite as muscular, and he is noticeably tanner than most of the other characters. He has short white hair and is usually seen smiling.

Personality

Toshio seems to have a jovial personality and is quite laid back, as he doesn't seem to mind all the havoc that the club members wreck when drinking and partying.

Etymology

• The name Toshio means "rise, ascend" (登) (to), "will, purpose" (志) (shi) and "man, husband" (夫) (o).
• Toshio's surname Kotegawa means "old hand, disused article, retired official, ex-soldier" (古手) (kote) and "river, stream" (川) (kawa/gawa).
