Kudou (工藤 Kudō? ) is a minor character of the manga series Grand Blue. He is a university student and the Captain of the Tennis Club "Tinkerbell".
Appearance[]
Kudō is a handsome dark-skinned young man with short light blue hair and brown eyes.
He is often seen wearing Tinkerbell's uniform.
Personality[]
Kudō is an arrogant womanizer who would do almost anything to achieve his goal and he tends to mistreat those whom he considers lowly. However, he does have a kinder side, particularly when he became considerate to easily back down from disturbing Shinji Tokita and Ryuujirou Kotobuki's quality time with their junior club members[1], and when he agreed to vote in favor of Peek a Boo for the Izu Fall Festival's Mister Izu Joke Entrant upon hearing of Iori Kitahara and Kouhei Imamura's intention to use the prize money for their senior's farewell celebration in exchange for their assistance in dealing with Hajime Nojima.[2]
Relationships[]
- Iori Kitahara: Ever since he got pranked by Iori during the "Boycon" competition, Kudō considers him as an annoyance.
- Aina Yoshiwara: Kudō's former club member. During her time in Tinkerbell, he tends to mistreat her, going as far as considering her as a joke, due to her Cakey persona. Since he weren't able to recognized her without excessive makeup suggested that he has never seen her outside her Cakey persona.
- Azusa Hamaoka: Due to her alluring appearance and his womanizing nature, Kudō has a clear attraction towards her and tried to ask her out, much to her annoyance.
Etymology[]
- The surname Kudou means "engineering, craft, construction, katakana e radical (no. 48), (factory) worker" (工) (ku) and "wisteria" (藤) (tou/dou).
