Grand Blue (ぐらんぶる Guran Buru? ), also known as Grand Blue Dreaming, is a Japanese manga series written by Inoue Kenji and illustrated by Yoshioka Kimitake. It began serialization in the May 2014 issue of Kodansha's Good! Afternoon seinen manga magazine and has been collected in ten tankōbon volumes.

Plot[]

A new life begins for Iori Kitahara as he begins his college career near the ocean in Izu city, full of excitement for his new life. He will be moving into his uncle's diving store "Grand Blue." There he finds the beautiful ocean, beautiful women, and men that love diving and alcohol. Will Iori be able to live his dream college life?

The series' first bound volume was released in November 2014 in Japan and as of March 2018, ten volumes have been released. The manga is published digitally in English by Kodansha Comics USA under the name of "Grand Blue Dreaming" with six volumes published as of February 13, 2018.

An anime television series adaptation was announced in the Good! Afternoon magazine's fourth issue of 2018 on March 7. The anime series is written and directed by Shinji Takamatsu, with Takamatsu also handling sound direction, Zero-G producing the animation and Hideoki Kusama designing the characters. It is scheduled to premiere in July 2018.
