Underwater (水の中で Mizu no Naka de? ) is episode 2 of Grand Blue anime.
Synopsis[]
After a cutthroat battle with Kouhei Imamura, a handsome otaku from school, Iori ends up joining the Peek-a-Boo diving club. Iori arrives home worn out from the day, but perks up when he hears about a party with a women's college.
Plot[]
Iori realizes that he hasn't actually slept in his new room yet, but the others in the club are planning a mixer with some women from the local Oumi Women's University. Eager to join the mixer, Iori tries to quickly set up his room in order to convince Nanaka that he's responsible enough. Assured by Tokita, Kotobuki and Kōhei that they can be of assistance, Iori allows them all to help decorate his room. However, against his insistence of having a normal looking room, they repeatedly fill his room with questionable items and posters, creating increasingly awkward scenes every time Nanaka or Chisa comes to check on him. Ultimately, Iori is forced to sleep in a rundown room.
The next day, Tokita and Kotobuki invite their new members to a local pool in order to prepare them for deep sea diving, though Chisa is reluctant to join. After they are done changing clothes, Tokita and Kotobuki try to help Iori and Kōhei in getting use to being underwater. However, after seeing Tokita rip off Kōhei's bottom, Iori starting to have a second thought. In hope of boosting Iori's confidence, Kotobuki instruct him to imagine as if being in a bath, this includes Iori being completely naked. Unfortunately, Chisa, who is late to the scene, sees this and calls him a pervert and exclude herself from the group, much to Iori's dismay.
Later that night, Nanaka takes Iori to a nearby aquarium per Chisa's request, inspiring him to try out diving. Feeling grateful, Iori buys an octopus keychain as a present for Chisa.
